SiteGetsBetter, by Wizard Web · For tour operators and local service businesses

A short list of fixes for your website, every week. You say yes or no.

Every week we study how your site shows up in Google and write the fixes. A person reads each one. Then you do, and only your yeses go live.

Waiting for your yes

What happens every week

Six steps. One of them is yours.

  1. Step 1

    We read the data.

Your Google Search Console and Analytics, once you give us access. Plus what your competitors show up for.

  2. Step 2

    We find the gaps.

    • Near-miss searches: Google already shows your site for the search, but not near the top.
    • Missing pages: people search for something you offer, and you have no page for it.
    • Weak titles: the blue link in Google doesn't say what you do or where you do it.
  3. Step 3

    We draft the fixes.

Written out in full: the new title, the new description, the new page. A person reads every fix before it reaches you.

  4. Your step

    Step 4

    You say yes or no.

We send you the list. You answer each fix with a yes or a no. Nothing ships without your yes.

  5. Step 5

    We put your yeses live.

Only the fixes you approved, on your live site.

  6. Step 6

    We measure, then start again.

Next week starts from what changed. Once a month you get a one-page report of your rankings and clicks.

  7. Your whole job: read the list, say yes or no.

Week one on our first site

Our first site belongs to a Kilimanjaro trekking company whose website Wizard Web already runs. Here is what shipped in week one. Week one came before the weekly yes-or-no list: Wizard Web approved the work in batches, not fix by fix.

33

meta descriptions rewritten

The summary Google sometimes shows under a link. These were over 160 characters. Each is now 155 or fewer.

15

internal links added

Links from 15 blog posts to the site's prices and operator-choice pages.

4

new answer pages

Each one answers a single question a trekker might type into Google.

Results: none yet.

It's too early to tell. Google has to revisit a page before a change can show up in search, and we won't guess ahead of the data. When the numbers come in, we'll post them here, whatever they show.

We're showing the work now because the work is the part you can judge today.

What we guarantee

Every week we find and draft fixes. Nothing ships without your yes.

What we don't guarantee

Rankings. No guarantees, ever, and the reason is honest: ranking depends on the town, the category and who else is competing. Google's own advice says no one can guarantee a number one ranking on Google.

Questions

Why not just use a $99-a-month AI SEO tool?

You could, and it would cost less. Some of those tools publish changes to your site automatically. Here, our software drafts each fix, a person reads it before it reaches you, and nothing goes live until you say yes. What you pay for is a person's judgment on every change, and the final word on your own website.

Can you guarantee I'll rank on the first page?

No. No guarantees, ever, and the reason is honest: ranking depends on the town, the category and who else is competing. What we guarantee is the work. Every week we find and draft fixes, and nothing ships without your yes.

How is this different from a one-time SEO audit?

An audit is a report you get once. Acting on it is up to you, and so is checking what happened afterwards. SiteGetsBetter runs every week. New findings arrive with the fixes already drafted, you approve or decline each one, we put the approved ones live, and a monthly report shows you the numbers.

What if I don't like a change?

Say no. It doesn't ship. You don't need a reason, though a line about why helps us draft a better fix next week.

How long until I see results?

We don't know yet, for your site or for anyone's. The service is new, and the first site we ran it on has no results to show yet. Google has to revisit a page before a change can show up in search, and what happens after that depends on your market. What we can promise is that you'll see your numbers every month, in a one-page report, as they come in.

What access do you need?

For the free site check, none. We look from the outside, the way anyone searching can. After you sign up, you invite us to your Google Search Console and Google Analytics so we can read your own search data. We also need a way to put approved fixes live on your site, and we sort that out with you during setup.

What's not included?

Link building, paid ads and full website rebuilds. If we think your site needs one of those, we'll tell you plainly. Wizard Web builds websites and can quote a rebuild separately.
